Currently, the ECE Department has 48 tenured or tenure track faculty members with rapid growth from 41 a few years ago. Among the active faculty are 13 IEEE fellows, 16 NSF CAREER Award winners, and 5 PECASE winners. The Department’s external research expenditures were a record high $17 million last year and the largest in the college of engineering.
